14610 days ago this was the scene:
Forty years sounds like a biblical amount of time, but in reality it has never seemed so. Perhaps because we were not wandering around in the same small desert all that time, or maybe because we never considered ourselves on a mission ordained by anyone other than us. The cake was good then, and it is just as sweet today.
